Still no job. Applied to plenty of them, but not much of a bite. I did get one interview last week, but they decided to go with someone else. On the programming front, I decided to take a detour. Given that most jobs are asking to use Laravel or Symfony I figured I should probably learn something about them. As you might have seen in the feed I did the boot camp with Laravel, which still rubs me the wrong way. I can see the appeal and have no problems working in it, if need be. Just feel it is a bit bloated. I am hoping to start a similar thing with Symfony, I just need to research where or if they have such a thing.
As for my sites, I have paused development a bit until I can figure out the best framework to rebuild into. Eventually I will also be looking at Javascript frameworks, as I will need that with the WhereAreGames site. Speaking of which seems to have had between 10 and 19 unique users. Dynaballot seems to be dead currently, maybe a rewrite will liven' it up.
SEO on WhereAreGames seems to be spiky, but low count on both engines. Dynaballot, not so much. Definitely need a rebuilt and a rethought. I will need to think about that more.
