Well, with the fall here I am hoping to get back into doing some programming. I have been a bit burnt on programming for a bit. I have a couple things in the fire, and it is making it hard to get motivated. Still have a couple updates coming for WhereAreGames, it is just taking a bit longer than I expected, and a bit more difficult. Again motivation has been a big factor. There hasn't been a whole lot of hits on the site so that doesn't exactly help.
To top it off I am looking to rebuild the server to upgrade the OS and look into alternative hosting options for the server. What I have currently seems to work, but want to consolidate it down to a bit more manageable setup. Made a step closer to that goal today, just need to work on getting some details working going forward.
As for the stats for the month we had for WhereAreGames about 10 to 11 unique users. Which is kind of small compared to other months. SEO looks a bit better, at least have some peaks in there and I am ranking on some searches. Not sure on Google which keywords they are, but at least I am ranking. On Bing there are some garbage keywords that I am ranking on, but there are some good ones too.
To give you an idea of how depressing my WhereAreGames numbers are, Dynaballot also had 10 unique users. For both I am willing to bet they are not actual users. Give there wasn't one log in. SEO for this is pretty bad, a single hit on Google and some typical peaks on Bing. I think this project needs some TLC, or maybe I should just bury it. Will see what happens this winter, maybe I can get my schedule fix so I can get some programming done. Maybe it is time to open source it, and see if I can get others to help. Which I am not sure if I want to open that can of worms.
