New year and some progress with my apps. Not huge progress, but progress none the less. There have been some upgrades and some usable changes to some interfaces. I was also able to convince some of the gamers to try the WhereAreGames app out. There are a couple that use it semi-regularly. SEO side of things are a little better. There are still some work that needs to happen, but there is some progress.
For WhereAreGames update is progressing. I might have the basics by the end of the month. That is my goal anyways. I will probably not have all of the features that I would like to have, but it will be a good start and something I can work on more during the year.
Had a bit of a wake up call with the File System Access API. Apparently it is only available for the Chromium based browsers, which made things interesting. I had to make things available to other browsers by trying to reproduce the functionality using other web systems. I was able to reproduce most of it with limited functionality, but usable. From what I was able to use of the File System Access API, it was pretty easy to use.
For current status of SEO. Looks like WhereAreGames has about 20 unique users according to OWA and about 12 users might actually using it. For the year OWA says I had about 174 unique users aka unique IP address that didn't keep a cookie. DynaBallot has less unique users had about 7 users according to OWA. My other stats are not that great for telling number of users, because a lot of noise. For the year had about 68 unique users. Bing seems to be getting more hits than Google when it comes to WhereAreGames. Both are relative flat for DynaBallot, which is kind of expected.
The year ahead will hopefully be some more progress and features. From the looks of it there will be some back end upgrades that will need to happen for both apps, as well. Looks like there are plenty of things to do and maybe some changes to this site as well. Lots of new things to learn and try out.
