Well the SEO changes make things worse on Google's Search and semi-better on the Bing Search. It is really odd, the key words that I am getting impressions on in the Bing Search console are ones that I put in my last update. So maybe the users on Bing just search differently than the Google users? I don't know I guess, it is nice to see my traffic on the Bing search increase, just disappointed in Google's Search console.
Despite the lack of SEO performance, I am going to try and build another tool into the WhereAreGames site. I have been wanting to add something for a while, I just keep getting caught between two different tools. One of which has two different variations that I could do. The question is priority.
The first is a tournament tool, to track a tournament progress. Which I think would bring more people to the site and integrate the dashboard a bit to make it more popular. Though I have plenty of ideas on it, trying to find a good starting point is proving difficult. Also not something I would use game day to game day.
The other is kind of an army builder. I know there are army builders out there, but the most popular one BattleScribe seems to have stopped being updated. The data for BattleScribe seems to be currently maintained, and the community is working on a fresh take on BattleScribe. I would like to use their data in my own version of an army builder, but I don't know if I want to go that far yet. There is a game I started playing that doesn't have BattleScribe Data files and would be difficult to build it in BattleScribe. So my thought is to make custom unit cards that could hold unit data, rules and notes. It could also do the calculations to help with that. It would be a very manual process to enter the data, but would be flexible enough to build anything. This is a bit more usable for me, and could lead to something I wanted to stay away from which is an army builder. I just wanted to use other army builder's output to import into mine. So that is my dilemma is do I want to go back on my word that I wasn't going to make an army builder or do I go ahead? The other question do I make use of BattleScribe's community data or do I develop my own?
Lots of question and some time to work on them. Might need to roll a die to figure it out.
Stats WhereAreGames I seem to have 1 returning user. There were 8 other hits but didn't seem to return. DynaBallot, does not see to be getting as much traffic. I get some search hits, but nothing beyond that. Even looking at the logs, no logins or much use of the application.
