Started to look at the next section of WhereAreGame. Trying something different, I am using a mind map to flush out feature and option ideas. Still kind of trying to figure out if it works for me or not. It seems more like an outline in 2D or 3D depending on the software you use. One thing that it has helped with is I can look at it and find something to add to it, where an outline is tough to visualize see where to add.
Went gaming last week and realized that I am missing a couple widgets to the play dashboard for WhereAreGames. It seems that 40k's scoring has gotten a lot more complicated than it was before. So I am working on a couple ideas for new widgets that should make playing 40k more convenient than it is now. If I can only find time to work on it. Was going to have them done last week, but so many things came up so I didn't get to work on them. This week doesn't look much better, but hopefully soon.
SEO still sucks and the tools that are used to monitor it do not help much at all. One shows that you listed in a search, but nothing about what the search was just the position in the search. Supposedly you are supposed to be able to have "keywords" in your headers, but it is really hard to not be spammy. I went and tried to do a search of things related to the WhereAreGames site and checked out some of the competition. Not once did my site show up even though those keywords on the site. Did figure out that what I have is unique though, and more dynamic than some other apps out there. At the beginning of last month I made some performance changes to the landing page of WhereAreGame as a test to see if it actually helps, obviously it didn't. I guess more time is needed or might need to look at making a native app so it will be in a store which is lame.
